Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, on Wednesday treated iconic journalist and former Edo State Commissioner for Information, Louis Odion to an exclusive lunch in celebration of his 50th birthday.
Odion attained his golden jubilee on the 25th of March with top dignitaries across the country celebrating him for being prolific and for the dignity he has brought to journalism, his chosen profession.
The latest on the long list of friends, family, associates and admirers that celebrated the prolific journalist was Wole Shoyinka who hosted what Mr. Azu Ishiekwene, Editor in Chief of Leadership tagged a ‘Retaliatory’ lunch for the celebrant.
The exclusive lunch had in attendance, the Deputy Managing Director of Thisday newspaper, Mr Kayode Komolafe, the Editor in Chief of Leadership Mr. Azu Ishiekwene, Chair of The Nation editorial board, Mr. Sam Omatseye, Odion’s wife Mrs Kehinde Odion and Mr Andrew Odion.
