Senator Dino Melaye will fly the flag of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State.
Melaye clinched the party’s ticket having polled 313 votes at the end of the primary election held on Sunday.
Idoko Ilonah won 124 votes while a former deputy governor of the state, Sunday Awoniyi came third with 77 votes and Musa Wada garnered just 56 votes.
Among those he will lock horns with in the gubernatorial election is Usman Ododo, the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the election.
