As expected of a charismatic leader, the Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa on Thursday led other returning and incoming members of the assembly to receive their Certificates of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The issuance of certificate was in furtherance of their victory at the state house of Assembly Election held earlier in the month.
The certificates were presented to the winners of the 40 house of assembly seats in the state with Obasa leading the pack.
Recall that the incumbent speaker got re-elected by scoring 17, 214 votes to represent his constituency, Agege 1 State Constituency in the assembly for the sixth term.
Of all the 40 legislators-elect 38 are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) while the remaining two vied under the platform of the Labour Party.
Their inauguration is slated for June this year.
