In order not to leave a stone unturned, member of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Mushin Constituency I, Hon. Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya popularly known as Osmak has appealed for the support and votes of youths in his constituency for his re-election.
Akinsanya made the solicitation on Wednesday when he met with the leadership and members National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local branch.
The lawmaker who had visited the youth body during their management meeting in the company of the council chairman, Hon. Rasaq Ajala assured them of continued qualitative representation in the hallowed chamber.
While acknowledging that the youths are the bedrock of the society given their numerical strength and limitless capabilities, Akinsanya who is the Chairman, Committee on Physical Planning And Urban Development assured them of continued inclusiveness and promotion of impactful laws to aid their development.
His words: “I have humbly come to solicit your support and votes for my re-election at the poll to continue my progressive representation in the hallowed chamber. As I did not let you down in the last four years, I do not plan to do so for the next four years, by God’s grace. You will be better carried along and I will keep identifying with you,” Akinsanya assured.
Lending his voice, Hon. Ajala beseeched the youth to not only cast their votes for Akinsanya at the poll but the state governor and his running mate, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dr. Kadiri Hamzat.
Responding, the coordinator of the youth body, Comrade Adigun Ibrahim noted that although NYCN is a non-partisan organizations, the body will mobilise its members and other youths in the LCDA to exercise their franchise at the polls.
He made it known that of all the candidates jostling for the legislative seat, Akinsanya is the only one that deemed it fit to engage the youths.
He expressed his confidence that youths in the council area will vote for candidates that have their interests at heart at the polls.
