Dr. Idiat Adebule, the Senator-Elect of Lagos West District, has shared in the sadness and grief of victims of the early morning train and bus collision that happened in Ikeja, Lagos, claiming the lives of 6 of the 85 passengers on the bus as other sustained varying degrees of injury.
The newly-elected senator commiserated with Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the civil servants and the families of those who died in the incident.
The former deputy governor of the state prayed to God to grant them a quick recovery.
Adebule expressed confidence in the capability of the State Government to ensure the best treatment for those injured.
She thanked members of the public for rising to the occasion in preventing the loss of more lives.
She also commended the emergency response team for living up to the expectation by mobilising their officials to the scene.
She prayed that such an incident should never occur in the state and country as a whole.
She beseeched God to place His hands of protection upon the families of the affected staff.
