…canvasses support for Sanwo-Olu, Hamzat, APC LAHA Candidates
The Senator-Elect of Lagos West Senatorial District, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule has expressed her gratitude to her teeming supporters for seeing to her victory at the just-concluded National Assembly elections.
Adebule, on Friday, hosted members of her campaign council, various support groups and hundreds of individuals across the 28 LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos West at her campaign office on Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA, Ikeja, to appreciate them for their contribution to her success at the polls.
Recall that the former deputy governor of the state polled 361,292 to defeat her closest rival and serial contestant, Deacon Segun Aeroland of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) who got 248,653 votes.
Prof. Akinboye of the University of Lagos expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election and consequently declared her winner and returned elected.
In her address, Adebule dedicated her victory to all and sundry who were instrumental to her success by way of their vote and massive mobilization as well as residents and stakeholders of the senatorial district at large.
She added that the best way to show gratitude is to live up to the constituents’ expectations of her assuring that she will not renege on her social contract as encapsulated in her #MyPactWithLagosWest agenda.
Her words: “Words alone can not capture how grateful I am for your votes and massive mobilization for my victory at the polls last weekend. Today is not for long speech but to express my sincere appreciation for your commitment to my aspiration which eventually led to the victory we all share today.
“May I use this medium to reassure you of my commitment to fulfilling my campaign promises as embedded in my agenda. With the continued faithfulness of Almighty Allah, I will not disappoint you,” Adebule said.
Speaking further, she commended the electorate for seeing to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory as Nigeria’ next president as she called for heighetened support for the state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Mr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat as well as the party’s House Of Assembly candidate across the state.
“Our work is not done and it will only be completed if we ensure that our indefatigable governor, Mr. Sellable; Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his running mate, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat as well as our 40 House Of Assembly candidates win next saturday. I urge you all to come out enmasse and massively canvass support for our party’s success at the polls,” Adebule said.
