The foremost presidential candidate in the county and revered national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed did the unexpected as he won the polling unit of the former president of the country, Olusegun Obasanjo.
He defeated the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who happened to be the preferred candidate of the former president.
Tinubu won at Obasanjo’s polling unit 22, Ward 11, Olusomi compound, Totoro/Sokori Abeokuta-North in Ogun State.
He polled 56 votes while the LP’s Obi had nine votes. African Democratic Congress scored eight, the Peoples Democratic Party seven votes, while Accord Party had one vote.
According to the Presiding Officer, 91 out of 693 accredited voters cast their ballots in the polling unit.
Ten voided votes were recorded.
