Success is fast achieved if you have someone that believes in your capabilities. This is the case of Mr. Ola Oresanya, the former Managing Director of Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA).

Oresanya, in his tell-it-all interview with ABAT Media, opened up on his destiny evoked preparedness which was met with a rare opportunity afforded him by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was then the governor of Lagos state at the advent of this democracy in 1999.

According to Oresanya in a graphically chronicled tell-it-all interview, Tinubu’s belief in his capacities and his tolerance with him were all he needed to effect a great transformation in the waste management system in the state.

Shedding more light into his encounter with Tinubu, Oresanya recalled that it all dated back to 1999 as he claimed to have been one of the thinkers that wrote strategic policy notes for BATCO, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign Organization.

He added that he caught Tinubu’s attention with his significant contributions to the drafting of the blueprint for an effective waste management strategy for the state.

He explained how the roadmap became the bedrock for the waste management reform programme in 2003.
Indeed, for over ten years, Oresanya was the directing mind of waste management in Lagos. Even after leaving the saddle to become current Ogun State Commissioner For The Environment after a brief stint as Special Adviser on environment in gateway state, he remains the benchmark for measuring the effectiveness of that sector.

Welcome to the exciting world of one of the talents hunted by Asíwájú Tinubu, Engr. Oresanya.
