The foremost Presidential candidate in the country and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has slammed his critics just as he announced his readiness for political debates.
The former Lagos State governor had earlier defended his decision for not attending skewed debates organized by platforms without political neutrality when he appeared at the Chatham House, London, on Monday to intimate the world about his plans and strategies for developing Nigeria further if elected president.
Tinubu said he sees himself as a marketable individual that media houses like making money off. He said, “I see myself as a marketable individual. You want to use me to make money and I’m saying no.”
This response was to further justify his absence at ARISE TV Townhall last Sunday and the former Lagos state governor’s prior labeling the station as a name-dropper.
While addressing some young Nigerians in London days ago, Tinubu said political debate was not an issue to him if the rightfully focused and unbiased stations invite him.
According to him: “I am ready to debate with you from morning till night… and I’m speaking in London, not in Jigawa. It is great that you are alive to tell the story. Just giving the assurance never to give up…….
Broadband creation, energy that you talked about.. if they’ve taken our advice.. in the beginning of democracy in 1999, we brought in investment. My Deputy then is here.. and then so many other innovative things….,” he said.
The eloquent manner in which Tinubu handled his Chatham House presentation has earned him applause across the globe. His policy testimony at Chatham House really underscored his preparedness to take Nigeria to greater heights upon winning the 2023 presidential election and his being sworn-in as president and commander-in-chief of armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria.
