Nigerian singer, Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as Mr May D, has revealed that he brought the amapiano music to the Nigerian music industry.
May D made this revelation via his Twitter page on Wednesday where he explained that he pioneered the Nigeria-South African collaboration.
“Na me bring amapiano come Naija, and I have awards to prove that! We started the Naija South African collaboration!
“I don’t like saying sh*t like this, but y’all like putting me under the box,” May D wrote
His revelation is coming minutes after one of Davido’s fan claimed that Davido brought the amapiano sound to Nigeria two years ago.
