World’s richest man, Elon Musk has explained that he was joking about his decision to buy Manchester United.
As reported by theliberationnews, the billionaire had, on Tuesday evening, tweeted about his intention to buy the English club.
The 51-year-old Tesla and SpaceX CEO, who has a habit of posting provocative statements on social media for fun, said: “Also, I’m buying Manchester United ur welcome,” in a reply to an earlier tweet about supporting both of America’s two major political parties.
However, on his Twitter handle Wednesday, the entrepreneur was quoted saying, No, this is a long-running joke on Twitter. I’m not buying any sports teams.
“Although, if it were any team, it would be Man U. They were my fav team as a kid. Standup is my side-hustle.”
