Days after holding a stakeholders’ meeting to review the ban on commercial motorcycles popularly known as Okada in Six LGAs and 9 LCDAs in the state, Lagos State Government has extended the ban to four more Local Government Areas (LGAs) and six local council Development Areas (LCDAs) in the state.
The state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu directs full enforcement from September 1, 2022.
Below is the list of the LGAs and LCDAs
1. Kosofe Local Government
a. Ikosi-Isherri LCDA
b. Agboyi-Ketu LCDA
2. Oshodi-Isolo Local Government
a. Isolo LCDA
b. Ejigbo LCDA
3. Shomolu Local Government
a. Bariga LCDA.
4. Mushin Local Government
a. Odi-Olowo LCDA
This takes the number of LGAs and LCDAs where the activities of okada riders are prohibited in the state to ten and fiteen, respectively.
