The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered the investigation of Habib Okikiola popularly known as Portable.
The controversial street-pop artiste made the revelation in a now-trending video.
He boastfully announced that he formed the notorious cult groups known as One Million Boys and Ajah Boys.
The notorious groups are popular for their violent activities, including murders, abductions and daylight robbery among other criminal activities.
The police at different times arrested a number of their members, while some were declared wanted.
In a statement on Monday by Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi the IGP order that Portable be probed over the confession he made.
“The IGP has ordered CP Lagos to investigate the indicting statement and take necessary legal action.
“This directive is premised on the continuous effort to fish out pillars and sponsors of cult groups in order to decimate their activities”, the statement read.
