Popular Yoruba radio and television presenter Alhaji Abiodun Oropo, popularly known as “Oyinlomo joojo” is dead.

The news of his demise was made known by one of his colleagues Yeye Abidemi Olukewu who in a Facebook post announced that he died last night following a brief illness.

“And He Signed Off………With the sadden heart, Am regretting to announce to you that we lost Alhaji Ismael Abiodun Oropo to the hand of cold death last night 9/7/22……. Rest on beloved (sic.),” Olukuewu posted.

Until his death, Oropo was a notable member of the Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria (FIBAN) and well known for his programmes on Faaji FM, Dux FM and several other radio stations across south west.

He is expected to be buried today according to Islamic rites at his residence in Orile Agege.
