Mobile Oil Nigeria PLC has described the former governor of Lagos, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an honest, intelligent and highly motivated employee during his stint with the company.

This was contained in a letter dated December 28, 1998, by the Oil company which recently surfaced online.

The letter, signed by the then Manager of Employee Relations, S.A. Williams, affirmed that the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, indeed, was an employee of the company for nine years between December 1, 1983, and May 17, 1992.

It was stated that Tinubu left the company on the account of Public Service Leave of Absence and never returned at the expiration of the leave.

“This is to confirm that Mr. Tinubu was an employee of our Company between December 1, 1983, and May 17, 1992. He left on May 18, 1992 on Public Service Leave of Absence and did not return to our Company at the end of the leave.

During his employment with us, he was an intelligent, honest and highly motivated employee. He worked hard and maintained a good working relationship with,” the statement read.
