The federal government has gifted all members of the female national basketball team and the entire technical team with the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Niger, OON and a house.
As announced by the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, today, on behalf of the president, each of the players will also get a $100,000 while the coach and technical officials will get $50,000.
This largesse which was the same awarded to the super falcons last week when they clinched their 10th historic Women African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title represents the president’s commitment towards rewarding excellence and hardwork.
