Popular Nigerian actress, Biola Bayo, has elicited emotional reactions on social media after shockingly opening up on her separation from her husband after over a year.
In an emotion-laden Instagram post, Biola Bayo revealed that she and her husband have parted ways since April 2024 but have chosen to peacefully co-parent their son. She accompanied the announcement with intense prayers and goodwill for her ex, celebrating his new age.
“Happy birthday to my ex-husband and my baby daddy. I pray that grace will abound unto you, I pray you find peace in all your ways. May God continue to light your path and bless you beyond your expectations in Jesus’ name.”
The star actress added that while many might taken aback by the revelation, she is convinced that the decision on her husband was made in wisdom and maturity just as he conveyed apologies to fans who may feel disappointed, expressing her wish that the marriage had worked out.
“To everyone that feels disappointed, I’m sincerely sorry. I wished it worked but it’s better to stay alive to tell the story,” she wrote.
“While I go about making other people happy in the day, my pillow is drenched with my own tears almost every night for the past 14 months,” she said, adding that her faith in Christ has been her source of strength.
“Let’s learn to be kind to people. You have no idea what others are going through until they say it. SAY UNTO THE RIGHTEOUS, ALL IS WELL. PEACE,” she concluded.
