The Lagos State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Engr. Adigun Ibrahim Olalekan, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as the administration’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling its promises and steering Nigeria onto a path of sustainable development.

Adigun made the remarks on Thursday while speaking as a panelist at the 6th Bola Tinubu Youth Summit, held at the Zenith Hall of the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

The summit, organized to commemorate Democracy Day, brought together youth leaders, policymakers, and civil society advocates under the theme “Building Trust in Governance: Advancing Transparency and Accountability.”

Speaking on the panel, Adigun praised President Tinubu for bold economic reforms, infrastructural investment, and youth-centered policies aimed at restoring confidence in government and unlocking national productivity.

“President Tinubu is boldly walking the talk. His administration has demonstrated the political will to take hard but necessary decisions to revive our economy, restructure critical sectors, and empower young people. From the transparent implementation of the student loan scheme to the digital economy initiatives, he is justifying the trust Nigerians placed in him,” Adigun stated.

Highlighting key milestones of the Tinubu administration, Adigun referenced the recent rollout of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), renewed investments in agriculture and energy, and the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Development Fund (RHIDF), which he described as “bold steps that are already yielding visible results.”

He also noted Tinubu’s efforts in promoting inclusivity, citing the appointment of young professionals and technocrats into strategic positions and his push for increased youth participation in governance.

“Through policies that promote transparency, innovation, and youth engagement, President Tinubu is rebuilding the bridge between the people and government. Trust is not demanded; it is earned. And he is earning it daily,” Adigun said.

Adigun concluded by drumming support for Presdent Tinubu as he keeps taking the hard but necessary steps to make Nigeria a nation we can all be proud of on all fronts.
