The Vice Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Hon. Adetutu Elizabeth Oyesanya, has been sworn-in as the council honcho following the impeachment of the former Chairman, Mr. Wale Adedayo over financial mismanagement and misappropriation by the Legislative House.
The ceremony was held at the conference room of the local government secretariat Ogbere and the oath of office and oath of allegiance were administered by Barrister Taofeek Lawal.
The development was contained in a press statement issued by the council head of Information, Adebowale Isiaq Ajibola on Monday and obtained by Theliberationnews.
In her remarks, the chairman Hon. Adetutu Elizabeth Oyesanya thanked all the people of Ijebu East local government for standing by her. She promised to run an all-inclusive administration with prudent financial management in her dealings as the chairman
She described the opportunity to complete the tenure of the listed chairman as a privilege assuring that her doors are open for constructive advice.
She used the occasion to thank the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for his developmental projects in Ijebu East local government and thereby pledged her loyalty to the governor and members of his administration in Ogun state
The ceremony had in attendance secretary to the local government , Mr. Sina Ipaye, other supervisors, advisers and consultants. Also in attendance was the Head of Local Administration along with other directors and heads of departments.
