Theliberationnews can authoritatively report that Arewa communities in the southwest region including Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti States have declared their unwavering support for the foremost presidential candidate in the country and national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group as an entity declared that Tinubu’s emergence as next President is of utmost priority in view of the condemnable spate of insecurity across the nation.
They urged Nigerians to vote for competence ahead of religion, saying that there is need for Nigerians to unite for the victory of Tinubu/Shetima tickets and other APC governorship candidates across the region.
Alhaji Sa’adu Yusuf Dandare, chairman of the group, spoke at the inaugural meeting of Southwest Arewa communities of the All Progressives Congress (APC) declaration of its Door- to Door campaign launch.
Dandare said the communities will mobilise massively for TInubu when he said: “We, the leadership of the Arewa Communities also have it as a point of agenda to move swiftly into action in deeply mobilizing our teeming population to prevent bad elements from coming into our age long settlement to create any evil act. We remain resolute in our determination to legitimately protect our law-abiding members.
“This inaugural meeting has boosted the confidence and morale of all our teeming members across the region and we have been tasked to immediately set up a strategy team to implement our major pattern which is the “Door to Door” campaign. Over time, this has been identified as our best strategy for delivering huge votes for our dear party across our different settlements in the southwest.
“The composition of this movement which is a major force has government representatives in our respective states towards delivering massive support for our great party,” he said.
Hon Hadi Sani, the Special Adviser to Ogun Governor on Inter-ethnic Affairs, noted that Nigeria shouldn’t vote based on religion but choose a dedicated, sound and qualified candidate like Tibubu as President.
“He deserves our full support irrespective of ethnicity, we are supporting him to deliver the country from it’s current predicaments, he is competent and capable, he has raised many people,” he said.
Chairman, Oyo Arewa community, Alhj Bashir Bubakar said Tibubu should become the next President for the sake of equity, justice and fairness, adding that rotational government is what the nation needs to keep going.
He described Tinubu’s/Shettima’s tickets as a perfect combination to move the country forward come 2023.
Those at the meeting were the Special Adviser to Osun State Governor, Alhaj Umar Muhammed, Chairman, Arewa Community, Ekiti State, Alh Shehu Gigane, and Alh Sani Kangiwa Arewa community APC Chairman Ondo State amongst others.
