All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly candidate for Ifako/Ijaiye Constituency 2 in Lagos, Hon. Emmanuel Olotu, has assured of adequate representation if elected.
Olotu, who spoke in an interview with our correspondent, thanked his party leaders and members, and especially the delegates, noting that he was set to hit the ground running.
According to the prospective lawmaker, Ifako/Ijaiye Constituency 2, which has Ojokoro as its hub, is a border community between Lagos and Ogun State, and as such, holds a lot of potentials for economic growth.
“I know you repose so much confidence in me to adequately represent you in the Lagos State House of Assembly come next year, and I make a sacred vow to push for legislations that will improve the well-being of all and sundry in Ifako/Ijaiye Constituency 2.
“Our great party, the APC, is always noted with quality performance and all I will strive to do is to rise above board and make my marks in transforming the fortune of this constituency,” he pledged.
Olotu commended the peaceful conduct of the APC primaries, noting that all went well that ended well.
He similarly saluted the incumbent lawmaker representing the constituency at the House of Assembly, Hon. Rasheed Makinde, for the spirit of sportsmanship with which he regarded the outcome of the party’s primaries.
“The APC is one united family and we are all ready to work together and win in the 2023 elections at all levels,” he stressed.
Unfolding his agenda further, Olotu said he would work for the legislation of an empowerment board for the less-privileged, especially the widows, the physically challenged, the aged, and the unemployed youths.
According to him, there is the need for public-private partnership in setting up cottage industries to take many youths in Ifako/Ijaiye Constituency 2 out of the labour market.
He also promised to propose bills that will protect businesses and enhance security of lives and property in Lagos State.
