The waiting presidential game is over with incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari formally putting in black and white, the name of his preferred successor.

In his written responses to questions posed by Bloomberg News, President Buhari unequivocally stated that he is solidly behind the choice of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In his response to a question on who he plans to endorse as his successor, his answer was unambiguous: “Yes. I will endorse the APC candidate for president.”

This has laid to rest all unfounded speculations about the genuineness of the president’s intention towards the emergence of Tinubu as APC presidential candidate during its last convention in Abuja.
