In deference to the power of prayers, the battle for who succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023 has assumed a spiritual dimension.

In far away Saudi Arabia, precisely in the city of Mecca where Muslims from across the world currently converge to observe umrah in the holy month of Ramadan, a special tawaf (prayers) session has been slated for Thursday, April 28, for the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress and presidential aspirant, Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The architect of the special tawaf session is Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Theliberationnews gleaned from a trending invite on social media that the session tagged ‘Special Tawaf for Asiwaju’ would commence at 12 noon with participants wearing their ihram (sacred dress of Muslim pilgrims) attire.

According to the invite, all participants are expected to converge on the King Abdulaziz Gate, Saudi Arabia in their ihram attire.

Islamically, Tawaf refers to encircling the Ka’abah seven times in an anti-clockwise direction as part of Umrah or Hajj while supplicating.

The session is to commence by 12 noon and would be conducted around Kaabah at the centre of Islam’s most important mosque, the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The Tawaf host is Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, who in tandem with other political leaders from Nigeria including some members of the state House of Assembly and leading Islamic scholars amongst others will converge at the place.

Obasa, an avowed loyalist of Tinubu is organizing the tawaf to seek almighty Allah’s face in support of Asiwaju’s presidential ambition. Tinubu himself is currently in Saudi Arabia to observe umrah and will, according to our sources, be present at the tawaf.
