The agency urged the public to take adequate precautions, as strong winds might precede the rains in areas where thunderstorms are likely, and to ensure that loose objects are fastened to avoid collisions.
NiMet further urged the public to avoid driving in heavy rain and to disconnect electrical appliances from electrical sockets.
