A former Lagos State chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Segun Adewale popularly known as ‘Aeroland’ has formally joined the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Theliberationnews authoritatively reports.
This was confirmed through his appointment as an ambassador of the City Boy Movement as stated in a letter dated 12th April 2026 and signed by the movement’s Director-General, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga.
City Boy Movement is a youth-focused political support group anchored by Seyi Tinubu, dedicated to promoting the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Tinubu.
Shoga, in the letter, explained that Aeroland’s appointment was in recognition of his contributions to political development, grassroots work, and public service.
“I write, on behalf of the leadership of the City Boy Movement, to formally convey your appointment as an Ambassador of the City Boy Movement. This appointment is a recognition of your distinguished track record as a committed leader, your remarkable influence within the political landscape, and your consistent dedication to progressive ideals.
“Your alignment with the vision, objectives, and strategic direction of the Movement, particularly in advancing the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Grand Patron of the Movement, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, renders your appointment both timely and eminently deserving,” the statement read in part.
As a City Boy Ambassador, the Lagos West Senatorial candidate of PDP in the 2023 general elections, is expected to deepen engagement across diverse communities and stakeholder groups, mobilise support for the ideals, programmes, and strategic initiatives of the Movement; and contribute meaningfully to strengthening the Movement’s presence and impact at all levels, among others.
While the former PDP Chieftain has yet to formally accept the ambassadorial appointment, as of the time of filing this report, his recent meeting with the City Boy grand patron, Seyi Tinubu suggests his commitment to work for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
