It was a joyful and emotional gathering as the 1993/1994 set of Abeokuta North Local Government Primary School, Ilugun Asalu, came together for their first-ever reunion—31 years after leaving school.

The event, held in Abeokuta, brought back fond memories as old classmates reunited to reconnect, reflect on their early days, and celebrate lasting friendships.

Among those in attendance were Comrade AbduWasiu Olasunkanmi (President), Alhaji Shuaib Adebesin (Vice President), Chief Nofiu Amidu (Treasurer), Hon. Saheed Tajudeen (Public Relations Officer), Hajia Kuburah Soaga (Organizing Secretary), Hajia Adebiyi Hamdalah (Welfare Officer), High Chief Adeyemi Quadri, and Comrade Micheal Onatunde.

In his welcome speech, Comrade Olasunkanmi thanked everyone for turning up and making the reunion a success. He described it as a fresh start for the group and encouraged members to remain united and committed to the growth of the association.

Hon. Saheed Tajudeen also addressed the gathering, appreciating the strong turnout and emphasizing the importance of staying connected. He spoke on the need for members to support their former school and give back to the community that raised them.

The event featured story-sharing, tributes to late classmates and teachers, and discussions about future plans, including supporting their alma mater and holding regular reunions.

The event ended with laughter, renewed friendships, and a strong commitment to keeping the bond alive for years to come.
