A 35-year-old Taiwo Arroyo Obafemi has been arrested by the police for allegedly carrying Canadian cannabis.
Obafemi was said to have been arrested by the police officer from Makinde Police Station, Mafoluku Oshodi, Lagos on his way to deliver parcels of Canadian cannabis at Oshodi Motor Park en route to Abuja.
An eyewitness who spoke to our correspondent said the suspect, a resident of 35A, Adeshina Close Off Afariogun Street, Oshodi, was arrested on Monday, December 30, 2024.
All efforts to confirm the arrest from the Public Relations Officer of Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, proved abortive.
It was gathered that the suspect was still with the police for questioning at the time of filing this report on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
