All is set to inter the remains of the former Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon Oladotun Olakanle.
Theliberationnews reported that Olakanle passed away penultimate Saturday at the age of 54.
He has since been replaced by his Vice, Barrister Olufunke Hassan on Monday.
Olakanle will be buried on Friday 15th of November 2024 in a private ceremony to be attended by only family members, and selected friends and colleagues.
In a porgramme of events for the burial released by the local council development area , the burial programme will commence on Wednesday 13th November 2024 with distribution of palliative to vulnerable at the Area office of the council at Abule Onigbagbo by 10am, while candle light procession by youth of the council will commence at the council secretariat and terminate at his residence by 5pm.
On Thursday 14th November, there will be a plenary session by the legislative arm of the LCDA at 10am and a night of tribute will take place at Grandeur Events Center, Billingsway Oregun , Ikeja Lagos between 4pm and 6pm
The burial on Friday will be preceeded by lying in state at the LCDA Secretariat between 9am and 9.50am, while a short church servic will takep place at RCCG Kings court, Ikeja LP60, 12 Oyetubo street, Ajao Road, off Obafemi Awolowo way, Ikeja between 10am and 12noon
He was survived by his wife Adefunke Fatimah Olakanle, two daughters and a son.
