Emeritus Governor of Ogun State and elder statesman, Akinrogun Olusegun Osoba, has urged Nigerians to be more patient with president Bola Tinubu and overlook his shortcomings.
This is as he assured that Tinubu would perform during his second tenure in office.
He said this during the All Progressives Congress, APC, South West Zone Assembly meeting in Lagos over the weekend.
The former governor declared that Yorubas are behind Tinubu’s presidency, adding that they believe in his confidence to deliver on his promises.
According to Osoba: “Now that Tinubu is there, I want to plead with all of you to accept his shortcomings. He will do better. After his first four-year term, he will serve another four years as a Yoruba son.
“The South West Assembly’s message is clear – the Yoruba leadership stands united behind Tinubu’s presidency and remains confident in his ability to deliver on his promises during his tenure.
“Bola didn’t make himself the President of Nigeria; we did.”
