Thousands of Agege residents on Thursday trooped out to make the most of the much-anticipated Jigi Muda Free Eye Care Program.

Theliberationnews reported that the comprehensive eye care initiative, powered by the Gidado Foundation, under the leadership of Hon. Nurudeen Bukola Sofidiya (Gidado), aimed to provide essential eye care services to the residents of Orile-Agege and Agege Local Government Councils.

The program is scheduled to expected to be on for three day, Thursday through Friday.

According to the organiser, the healthcare program is a reflection of the democratic ideals and leadership integrity of Rt. Hon. Dr. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa as it attracted over 1000, seeking free eye tests, medication, glasses, and surgical supports.

It was gathered that the event which commenced at 10 a.m, have qualified medical team on hand to conduct various eye tests on people, determine the appropriate treatments for the attendees.

The crowd included people of all ages, from the elderly to the young, all receiving the necessary cares and recommendations.

The free eye care exercise which continued today, Friday, 30th August 2024, will also be on tomorrow, Saturday 31st August at the Lagos State Speaker’s office on Oyewole Street, Iyana Ipaja, Orile-Agege.
