Labour Party (LP), on Saturday, won the Bogoro Councillorship Seat in Lusa B Ward, Bauchi State, without having a candidate.
While announcing the outcome of the election, the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC) announced that the Labour Party received 2,200 votes, the highest number of votes cast in the election.
The result took many people aback because the party did not field a candidate in the election.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf, came second with 2,168 votes.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mbam Masoyi, trailed behind with 275 votes.
The Returning Officer, Daniel Gambo, announced the results at the collation centre in Bogoro.
