The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Lagos State Chapter has taken a significant step towards fostering unity and inclusivity among youths by inaugurating its state directorates.

This milestone event, held on Monday at the youth centre on Akinwunmi Street, Alagomeji, Yaba, was chaired by State Chairman Engr. Adigun Ibrahim, with the aim of promoting collaborative efforts towards achieving common goals.

The newly established directorates will function as specialized units, similar to government ministries, focusing on various aspects of youth development and engagement. These areas include education, sports, agriculture, health, and more, ensuring comprehensive and impactful initiatives across all 57 local government areas and local council development areas in the state.

The Programs Officer, Comrade Lekan Akintobi, emphasized the crucial role of the directorates in driving the council’s agenda forward and facilitating better coordination and execution of youth-oriented programs.

With the inauguration complete, the next step is the announcement of directorate portfolios, followed by diligent and collaborative work to deliver the state executive’s mandates to the entire youth constituency.
