The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that an Unmanned Area Vehicle (UAV) was what crashed in Kaduna and not helicopter.

Theliberationnews reports that the crashed occurred very early on Monday morning.

NAF, in its reaction confirmed that pointed that there were no casualties.

The Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet in a statement said the crash was a NAF Unmanned Aerial vehicle, (UAV) that suffered mishap.

He said, “Please be informed that no helicopter crash occurred. Instead, a NAF Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) experienced a mishap after take-off for a mission, at a location near Rumji Village and about 15 Km from Base.

“Since it is an unmanned vehicle, there were no casualties on board or on ground.”

The NAF Director Public Relations & information also said that preliminary investigation had since commenced to ascertain what might have caused the mishap.

He assured Nigerians that this minor setback would not, in anyway, affect all ongoing operations.
