The presidency has in a short clip shown moments President Bola Tinubu resumed duties following his return from Europe on Wednesday.

In a 27-second footage released by Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, the President was seen walking to his duty post at the presidential villa in Abuja.

The video was captioned: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu back at his desk this morning, receives briefing from HM @bosuntijani, NCC EVC and HM Wale Edun, HM of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy at the State House.”

The release of the video comes amidst a storm of speculation generated by the absence of any pictures or videos of the president’s return to the country after a two-week trip abroad.

Since taking office a year ago, Tinubu’s aides and presidency officials have consistently released multimedia content of his arrivals and departures from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, often accompanied by top government officials.

However, Tinubu’s return on Wednesday was announced in a news flash by NTA, the government-owned media outlet, without any accompanying visuals, triggering reactions from the public.

The video of the president resuming work at the villa and receiving briefings from key ministers allay concerns and speculations about his wellbeing and ability to carry out his duties as the leader of the nation. President Tinubu remains strong and on his saddle.
