As part of its mission to provide innovative and unparalleled cleaning products and services across the nation, a leading sanitation, cleaning, and pest control company, A-Mobile Group has launched another branch; a one-stop supermart in Lagos State.
The new branch located in the Ifako-Ijaiye, Ogba area of Lagos State was opened for commercial activities on Wednesday amidst a cocktail party and celebration.
The Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Damilola Oloruntade, in her remarks, said the branch opening marks a sensational phase in the company’s 16 years of existence adding that the big dream is to expand nationwide and across Africa in order to sustainably promote a clean environment.
She added that the company which deals in sales of professional homeowners’ cleaning equipment and tools, sales of public health and agro professional pesticides, rental of sanitation, cleaning, and pest control equipment as well as training has clients across the country and West Africa thereby making an expansion a necessity.
Speaking further, Oloruntade noted that the company represents international brands across the globe and that is why it prides it’s new store as a one-stop supermart.
“Part of our vision is to provide innovative and unparalleled products and services for people in Nigeria, neighboring countries and Africa as a whole. Opening this new branch; a first-of-its-kind one-stop supermart where you’ll have products for sanitation from across the world marks an exciting phase in our history. Another thing we do here is that we are into mobile toilets and guess what? We are approved and licensed not only by the Lagos state government but also by the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria (EHCON). Internationally, we are well known. We represent different brands not only in Nigeria but also in the US and Europe. We plan to replicate what we are doing in the whole of Nigeria and, of course, across Africa, because that is our vision,” she said.
She went further to reveal that her company employs weekly revealing that part of the mission is to provide employment opportunities for teeming Nigerian youths and help reduce the unemployment rate in the country.
“It’s a problem that brings in some certain things. What brought about this idea of this new branch was that we noticed that for the last 16 years, we’ve been in the business, we now have clients almost everywhere in the country. As a matter of fact, we have clients as far as Niger, Liberia and other neighboring countries to render our services.
“We notice that we are actually growing bigger, more people are beginning to notice us because integrity has been our watchword. I and the entire team decided that it was time to branch out to be able to meet every local government in Lagos State so people to have easy access to sanitation, hygiene and pest control services. We also want to create more jobs.
“In A-Mobile, we employ every week so, we are calling everybody. If you’re looking for job, walk in to our branch. You are a youth and you don’t have a job, go to any of our branches. In the next five years, our plan is to be able to employ 5,000 wage staff and we are getting there. In Lagos State, we want to employ people in every local government. The way I grew up, I grew up looking for job. People didn’t actually believe in my history. Nobody believe I could actually make it in lives. The point is to be able to create job in the industry of sanitation, hygiene and pest control. Our plan is that at least in the next ten years, we will replicate what we are doing is to replicate this in at least 6 states across Nigeria and we know that it is actually doable and we are calling for every form of support,” she said.
She concluded by calling for support from banks to grow the industry as well as grants and policy implementation from government.
“One of the challenges we have is finance. Alot of people are asking us that how are we able to finance it? Thank God for my husband for his invaluable support. He’s the chairman of the company. I do the running and one thing is we want to be able to get every support possible. The thing is that a lot of bank don’t even believe in our industry. A-Mobile is changing the narratives. We want them to believe in our industry. We want them to see our industry as an industry that can employ the teeming population of the Nigerian youths so we need them to come up. We need every finance, we need grants, we need government to support us. We need policy to enforce, we are not getting enough enforcement from government,” she concluded.
