A graduate of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Ilenre Olutimain Alvin, has drawn attention to himself after burning his university, NYSC and primary school certificates over his inability to secure employment.

In a video making rounds on X Platform (Twitter) the man bitterly lamented his frustration over his life ordeals, especially his fruitless effort in securing a job despite having the academic qualification.

He noted his disappointment in losing job bids to non-graduates as he argued that there was no practical advantage to having a university degree.

He went further to express his utter disappointment with the country’s educational system, adding that he has come to realise that it makes more sense to acquire practical skills than to pursue higher education without the certainty of employment opportunities post-graduation.

His reality and consequent action bring to the fore the growing list of unemployed Nigerian youths and need for a change in the country’s educational system to make graduates employers of labour.
