His words: “All is fair in warfare. I am first and foremost an Egbaman. By the grace of God, I am Osi of EgbaLand. I have the primordial responsibility to protect the interest of Egbaland and Egba People in general. In the good days of wars, by my designation, I am the commander of the left wing of the Egba army. If I can not fight for Egba’s cause, then I am not deserving of the title of Osi of Egbaland.

“And I am firing a Salvo today, as long as I am alive in 2027, the governor of Ogun State will be an Egba man. Egba men tried for the Yewa people to get governorship. Egba, with 56% of the voting population in Ogun state will not be behind the fence for 16 years. We’ve supported others. Now, we want to take our thing. Awa Lokan. We have that sense of entitlement, deservedly. Anybody can carry his money all over the place, we don’t care about that. You can’t buy us with money. We don’t care where your money is coming from. So, I am firing a salvo today; as far as I am alive, an Egba man will become Ogun State governor in 2027.
