Few weeks to his inauguration, the House of Representatives member-elect for Jalingo, Yorro and Zing federal constituency in Taraba State, Hon. Ismail Maihanci has passed away, Theliberationnews has learnt.
Maihanci won the election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His death was confirmed by Bashir Ahmad, one of the Presidential aides on his Twitter handle.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un! Just received a sad news about the passing of our brother, Hon. Ismail Maihanci, a member-elect of Jalingo, Yorro and Zing, Federal Constituency in Taraba State. May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings and grant him Jannah al-Firdaus,” Ahmad wrote.
As of the time of filing this report, the cause of his death could not be ascertained.
