The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has cleared the air about whether the killer of pregnant Lawyer, Omobolanle Raheem, ASP Drambi Vandi was under the influence of alcohol when he recklessly pulled the trigger.
Adejobi spoke who spoke on Splash FM in Abeokuta, recently, explained that Vandi was not under the influence of any substance as shown by examination carried out on him.
He described him as a “good and very nice man” who would not have carried out that dastardly act under normal circumstances.
He explained that the killer cop must have been under a spiritual manipulation even as he admitted that such is not admissible in court.
“One thing people should understand, we are in Yoruba land here now. I’m sure many elders will know what they called ‘efun, edi, arosin, asasi’ (some magical spells cast on people to make them misbehave). Whatever happens in the physical realm is controlled by the spiritual realm.
“In a very long time, in history and I have spent 2 decades on this job, it is very rare to see an ASP who has put in 33 years to be the one to pull the trigger.
However, he said that nevertheless, Vandi “is going to carry his cross.
“The Lagos State Government has taken over prosecution. The police is not protecting, it’s the Lagos State government that is prosecuting. We have given them the interim report. The case file has been handed unto them. Every other thing will be done either post-mortem, ballistic of the gun, or analysis but we know that Vandi was the one who pulled the trigger base on preliminary investigation.”
