The remains of the Lagos-based Lawyer, Bolanle Raheem, mindlessly shot dead by a trigger-happy police officer, ASP Brambi Vandi, has finally been laid to rest.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Olive branch parish, Banana Island, Lagos.
The event attracted attendance from family members, lawyer colleagues of the deceased, as well as friends.
Delivering a sermon at the service, Okechukwu Enelamah, a former minister of industry, trade and investment, said Raheem’s “relatively short life” was full of great impact.
Enelamah said the circumstances that led to the death of the lawyer have elicited widespread reactions that will bring about reforms in the society.
The lawyer was buried at the Vaults and Gardens (Mayfair) cemetery.
