The Ekiti Governorship Election Petition Tribunal will today deliver judgment on the litigation between the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Biodun Oyebanji and Segun Oni of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

This was confirmed in a statement by the Secretary of the Tribunal, Mr. Umar Abubakar, who made it known that the judgment will hold today at the tribunal venue, located in the premises of Ekiti State High Court, in Ado Ekiti

His clarification followed the dismissal of the widely held speculation that the tribunal will deliver judgment yesterday (Wednesday).

The date given to all parties concerned in the litigation was today and not yesterday, as speculated.

Abubakar added that today was sacrosanct, noting that it has not been changed.

The tribunal had reserved judgment on the petition filed by Segun Oni challenging the victory of Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress, APC, after hearing from the parties concerned.
