England have advanced to the quarter-finals of the ongoing Qatar 2022 World Cup courtesy of a dominant performance against the Teranga Lions of Senegal.
Two first-half goals from Jordan Henderson and Harry Kane and a sublime by Bukayo Saka in the 57th minute of the match were all the England national team needed to trash the reigning African Cup of Nations Winner, Senegal from the competition.
The match was the first time the two teams will be locking horns in a competitive outing.
England lived up to expectations as they were tipped to edge past Senegal following their unbeaten record and promising performance in the group stage matches.
Senegal, on the other hand, by way of their humiliating defeat failed to equal their personal best in the competition by reaching the quarter-finals.
England will now lock horns with the defending champions, France in the quarter finals on December 10.
