Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has complemented his empathic call on the husband of slain lawyer, Bolanle Raheem with a condolence visit delegation. During the visit, he, once again, reiterated his commitment to ensuring justice.

The governor sent a powerful delegation to console the family at their home in Ajah.

Sanwo-Olu posted on his Facebook page, on Monday, that he placed a call to the husband of the deceased, Mr. Gbenga Raheem to share in the family’s grief and assured that justice will be served.

“I spoke with Mr Gbenga Raheem, husband of late Bolanle Raheem, as well as to her sister earlier this evening while expressing my condolences on this very sad loss, I assured them that the State Government will do all in its power to see that justice is served, and timely too. May her soul rest in peace. Amen,” the post read.

Speaking at the family’s residence in Ajah, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Moyo Onigbanjo, SAN, said, “We have the permission of Mr Governor to tell you that justice will be done in this matter. The matter will be charged to court as soon as the police send us the case file.

“I will be leading the prosecution to show the seriousness the government attaches to this matter.”

Special Adviser on Innovation and Technology, Tubosun Alake also spoke when he urged the family to take heart. He prayed that The Almighty would console the family.

The husband of the late Bolanle, Mr Gbenga Raheem, thanked Mr Sanwo-Olu for his empathy.

Also in the delegation were Head of Service, Hakeem Muri Okunola, who signed the condolence register on behalf of the government, Women and Poverty Alleviation Commissioner, Mrs Bolaji Dada and Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso.
