…Calls For The Re-election Of Babajide Sanwo-Olu As Lagos State Governor
The Executive Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo has expressed his confidence in the capability of the foremost Presidential candidate in the country and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to better the standard of living for Nigerians if elected as the president of the country.
Olasoju, an ardent supporter of the former Lagos State governor said this when he featured on Miliki FM’s phone-in programme “Koko Oro” – this morning, monitored by Theliberationnews.
Responding to questions about Tinubu’s presidential aspiration and health, Olasoju described the former Lagos governor as an angel sent to Nigeria by God giving his contribution to the advancement of humanity via politics.
He said that Tinubu is the candidate to beat in the presidential race noting that his track record as Lagos State governor poses him as the best among his equals.
Speaking on governance at the state level and the reelection bid of the incumbent governor, Olasoju commended the governor for sustaining Lagos on the path of excellence and making it a shining light in the comity of States in the federation.
He described the governor as a silent achiever whose approach to governance has been inspirational to many.
“If you look at Lagos – it’s a model of good and progressive governance. Since 1999, Lagos has been on a good foundation. Even those that are criticising some governmental policies are living in Lagos. Talking about security, transport system and others, Lagos is setting the standard of development and this is one of the reasons he deserves another four-year term.
“Last year, the state governor started a road from Opebi to Ojota, check Iba Axis, Epe massive infrastructural development is ongoing. As he’s completing the projects he inherited he’s embarking on new ones. He’s a silent achiever. He is not after appreciation. Recently, he subsidized the tuition fee for students of the newly established universities.
Fielding question about state governors stealing local government funds, Olasoju cleared the state governor of any indictment when he explained that LGs gets their funds as and when due.
Earlier, the council boss gave a comprehensive account of his scorecard since he assumed office in July 27, 2021, hinging his impressive and widely celebrated successes on prudence and experience.
He explained that before his first 100 days he had expended efforts on virtually all areas of governance resulting in urban renewal and human-capital development via empowerment programmes, bursaries to indigent students, sporting activities among others.
Not resting on his oars, Olasoju added that his administration has gone on to undertake more developmental projects ever since as he promised to sustain the momentum till his campaign mantra – #TowardsTheIsolo ofOurDreams is substantially achieved. Callers showered the council boss with commendations for raising the standard of governance in the council area.
