Fact may have emerged about why President Muhammadu Buhari sacked the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Brigadier-General Mohammed Fadah.

Faddah was removed on Thursday and immediately replaced by the next ranking staff of the corps following Buhari’s approval.

The next ranking officer is expected to act as DG of the corps pending the announcement of a new appointment.

His dismissal comes just six months after his appointment in May 2022 as the NYSC 19th DG.

Although, NYSC spokesman, Eddy Megwa, made it known that an official statement will be issued today (Friday) but there has been discussion that Fadah’s abrupt removal was as a result of concerns over ‘incompetence’

Meanwhile, regardless of Fadah’s removal, NYSC has opened its portal for the registration of prospective corps members for Batch C stream two, as scheduled.
