Leader of the Pan Yoruba group, Afenifere, Pa Rueben Fasoranti today received the foremost presidential candidate in the country and revered national leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu at his residence in Akure, the capital of Ondo state, Theliberationnews reports.

Recall that this medium reported that Tinubu will present his campaign policy to the pan-Yoruba today for its esteemed appraisal.

After a rousing welcome, the 96-year-old leader, Fasoranti declared his support and prayed for the emergence of the former Lagos governor at the polls. Chief Olu Falae also spoke and prayed for Tinubu to bring home the lofty presidential trophy in their life time next year.

A statement Issued by the National Organizing Secretary of the Pan-Yoruba group, Abagun Kole Omologun explained that the group is throwing its weight behind Tinubu after being convinced of his progressive leadership style and capability to foster a more prosperous, safer, United and peaceful Nigeria.

“Having taken cognisance of his commendable antecedents as Lagos State Governor and his demonstrated ability in building physical and human capital, the Yoruba Leaders at today’s meeting are in no doubt that Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria offers the best opportunity to produce a government of that will usher in a new Era of hope, peace, security, harmony, gainful employment for the multitude, economic development, social and political stability,” the statement read in part.

Consequent upon Afenifere’s endorsement of Tinubu, the aspiration of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, whom Pa Ayo Adebanjo has been promoting without any known structure has hit the rocks in the southwest.
