—Yoruba To’oto International Says God Will Perish Those Behind Such Evil Thought
Tokunbo Awolowo-Dosunmu, the daughter of Nigerian nationalist and statesman, Obafemi Awolowo has alleged a plot to get rid of the foremost presidential candidate in the country and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu if he wins the 2023 presidential election.
She alleged that the plot is to get rid of Tinubu and install his running mate, Kashim Shettima as president.
Awolowo-Dosunmu claimed that the conspiracy may be perfected immediately after the 2023 swearing-in ceremony. She said those behind the plot would take advantage of Tinubu’s alleged medical condition.
Awolowo-Dosunmu appealed to Yorubas to stop being sentimental and tribalistic about the three major candidates contesting for the office of the presidency.
“They are plotting against Tinubu; Yorubas should wake up. They are aware of Tinubu’s alleged medical condition.
“All they are planning is, immediately after handing over and swearing-in, they are going to get rid of Tinubu and Sheetima will be your next president if you are not careful.
“Yorubas have to wake up and not allow emotions to lead us,” she told newsmen in Lagos.
However, a group of Yoruba technocrats with membership across the world under the aegis of Yoruba To’oto International (YTI), has dismissed such idea if at all it exists as dead on arrival.
The YTI Director-General, Dr. Akinwunmiju Adebanwo disclosed that “it is the turn of the southwest to produce the next president and Asíwájú Tinubu is our choice. If anyone, sitting in the dark, feels it is possible to do any harm against Asíwájú, then such evil plan is dead on arrival.”
“The Yoruba as a race will use everything it has, including our customs, culture and tradition including our vast contacts to protect our dear son, Tinubu. This should be taken as a final warning to evil plotters,” he concluded.
