Naomi Silekunola, the queen that voluntarily stormed out of the fortress of the Ooni of Ife has opened up on being harassed within and outside her marriage threatening to spill out lurid details of her purported encounter with an unnamed Assistant Commissioner of Police.
In a cryptic post, the embittered Queen stated that no woman should ever be harassed for “walking away from abuse.” The former evangelist turned queen of Ife warned that she would not be cowed to keep silent over the issue.
Queen Naomi Silekunola shares a son named Tadenikawo with the Ooni of Ife but walked away from the marriage in December 2021 to the shock of the entire world simply because another woman had walked out of Ooni’s life not too long before then.
According to a post on her Instagram page: “No woman deserves to be bullied. Walking away from abuse should not take away your fundamental human rights and dignity as a woman,” the former queen said following an incident with the “Assistant Commissioner of Police at the AIG’s office in Akure.
She said it “is a pointer to the fact that the system has failed womanhood again.”
“Does it mean that walking away from a relationship means you should commit suicide,” Naomi, the former wife of the Ooni said in pointer to still being harassed after ending the marriage.
Naomi’s sister, Simi Oluwaseyi while putting in a support for her sister, said:
“No woman deserves 1% of what you went through, still going through. You have really tried and enough is enough! It’s about time the sleeping dog wakes!”
Replying to her, Naomi wrote: “It will be a rude awakening. You know when I am pushed I will rather die… Thank you all for standing by me through this very difficult period. They don’t know what’s going on but God will be faithful.”
