The Federal Government has unveiled the new identity and logo for Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation which has now been transformed into a Limited Liability Company.
By way of the unveiling ceremoniously done by President Muhamadu Buhari Tuesday, NNPC Ltd is now commercially-driven and independent entity with responsibility to declare dividends to its shareholders.
The new motto of the new NNPC read “NNPC: Energy do today, Energy for Tomorrow.”
In his remarks, Muhammadu conveyed his pleasure filled with I have had the opportunity to shape the course of the petroleum industry in the country.
He went on to appreciate the National Assembly for facilitating the passage of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), which had been in the works over different administrations but only came to reality during the current dispensation.
